Imagine being diagnosed with a chronic illness and being told by doctors that you would have to take a pill for the rest of your whole life. But your soul knows better and decides to ignore the doctor’s advice and search for what your mind, body and soul needs. Imagine vowing to yourself you would never be part of the health industry due to both of your parents being Doctors, but the universe has a different plan for you. Suddenly you’re learning how to heal from hormone imbalances, listen to your gut and heal from within. Imagine walking from a career in interior designing, living abroad to suddenly realising how stressed and burnout you’re feeling from a career you truly loved. To walk away and have to refind yourself while healing from a chronic illness. I understand this feeling, just like my next guest today does too. I went from working as a journalist to walking away from industry fully in 2013. I went on a journey of self-discovery to find myself, heal my wounds and trauma that were holding me back to then being diagnosed with a kidney defect. Heartbroken and confused, I realised the divine had a bigger journey for me. From saving my kidney after several consultants tried to deter me from keeping it. To then struggling from a … Read More

Are you sacrificing your health in pursuit of a goal? I get it and so does my guest Cristi. We both pushed ourselves beyond our emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing to attain goals for years. In the process we had to heal, slow down and listen to what we were actually running away from. Cristi was dancing from the age of 2, then she was training for the olympics as a gymnast at age 10, but sadly had an injury that resulted in her walking away. Heartbroken from the news, someone recommended that she try diving and she found a whole new goal to attain. But tragically, she broke her back at the age of 23. She was told by Doctors that she wouldn’t be able to walk by the age of 30. Movement had always been part of her life. After a tarot card reading, someone recommended yoga and this led to her rebirth. Cristi shares how her career came to a halt due to a health condition and had to deal with the injury and everything else she was running away from. Cristi is an international Master Yoga Instructor and Fitness Expert. * What is was like growing up as gymnasts * How your childhood patterns affect your future * How Yoga helped Cristi awaken the wild woman from within … Read More

Ever felt like you’re destined for more, but not sure how? I can relate. Ever felt so lost, that you turned towards drugs and alcohol to numb the emptiness instead? Alcohol was my escapism, until I heard the voice from within say, “it’s time to heal.” All of us are born with unique gifts and talents in this world, but somewhere down the line, we lose our identity and who we came to be in this world. Society teaches us to strive for success, compete and work hard on your grades from a young age. Whereas the soul is craving intimacy, understanding and awareness from within. So many of us get trapped in the mundane of life and forget who we truly are. Until that voice from within screams louder, that we no longer ignore it and go from within. I understand this as my awakening began in 2012 as I cried out of a hospital and heard, “it’s time to heal.”I believe when you listen from within, everything gets easier. You start to work on your trauma, become aware of your surroundings and trust yourself more than ever before. Joy becomes easier and life feels lighter.Lisa used to say to her mother as a child, I want to go home and often had memories of being a healer in other lifetimes. … Read More

Growing up in a dysfunctional family isn’t easy. It can take over a child’s life further into their adult years. They can feel abandoned, misunderstood and often rejected by others. The way they cope isn’t healthy and often traumatic. Many will use work as an escapism mechanism and use drugs, alcohol or people pleasing to numb their pain, instead of feeling what they’re feeling. When a parent doesn’t regulate their own emotions, they often use their anger towards their kids instead of healing their own emotions. They use the child as an emotional punch bag which is so wrong! Many kids who grew up with trauma find it difficult to express their needs and often have a trauma bond attached to the person who emotionally abused them! When we heal toxic patterns, we heal the world and those around us. Raj knows what it’s like growing up in a toxic household to set himself free. Raj Montage is a trauma survivor and empowerment coach. His mission is to help as many people in my lifetime become the best versions of themselves. * What it’s like growing up in a South Asian community * How your community affects your future* How he realised he was an empath* Healing our racism trauma * How first generation immigrants have deep trauma * Listening to your … Read More

As empaths and highly sensitive people it can be hard to trust your intuition and learn how to protect your energy field. I know what it’s like to feel misunderstood, not heard and drained from other people’s emotions. I know what it’s like to feel depressed, anxious and sad and it wasn’t my energy, it was the person I was talking to. I know what it’s like when I first heard the term ‘empath’ and began to cry, because for the first time I felt understood. I realised that I needed to learn how to protect my energy field. When empaths are surviving life, they aren’t thriving. They haven’t learnt that their sensitivity is a gift and not a curse. They don’t know how to stop pleasing people and how to protect their peace. That’s why it’s so important to understand your sensitivity and learn how to regulate it. Rachael Kelly knows what it’s like to feel misunderstood and anxious without knowing why. Until she too heard the term empath. Rachael Kelly is a HSP/empath coach who helps sensitive souls to fall back in love with their sensitivity and show up in their authentic unique expression. * How we absorbed other people’s stuff* How she healed her nervous system * How empaths numb their pain through alcohol, drugs or people pleasing * … Read More
